Staying at The Beautiful Villa Santai…

WOW! Villa Santai is breathtaking, one of the most incredible villas with the most spectacular view you could ever imagine.

Villa Santai is hidden away just outside of the centre of Ubud. It is in such a great location as you feel as though you are in your own secret rainforest with so much beauty and tranquility. And then only ten minutes away you have the excitement of Ubud.

We stayed at this amazing villa for two nights and it just wasn’t enough, I could’ve moved in there and then!

We were greeted by the lovely owner Annie who had the Villa built about six years ago, she is so friendly and such a breath of fresh air. There is a lovely team of staff who were around during our stay who were very friendly and helpful, making us feel at home the moment we arrived. The villa also has security in the evening which made us feel extremely safe.

The Villa

As soon as you step foot into Villa Santai you feel so calm and honoured to be somewhere so beautiful. The entrance into the Villa is sensational, it is literally like a walkway to heaven and at the bottom there is an awesome infinity pool that over looks the rice paddies, jungle and river Ayung.

The living room has such a cool chill out vibe and the interior throughout the whole villa is just dazzling. There is a well equipped spacious kitchen and a gorgeous dinning table if you would prefer to eat at home.

The Bedrooms

Villa Santai offers four stunning bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms which is such a treat and quite unusual. We spent most of our time in the master suite which is huge and has a beautiful super king size bed. The bathroom is amazing with a typical Balinese shower outside and a spacious bath tub.

Each bedroom has a lovely four poster bed with mosquito nets which makes you feel like such a princess, and of course prevents you getting bit. The decoration of each bedroom is so tasteful and the Villa itself is so clean.

Why A Villa?

Booking your own private Villa when you travel abroad is such a luxury especially somewhere as remarkable as Villa Santai, as you have so much more privacy. It is also a lot more personal and spacious. A Villa like this is perfect for groups from 2 – 8 and it also works out cheaper then a hotel a lot of the time.

The Villa is perfect for yoga and I will definitely be discussing taking Enlighten Yoga Retreats to Villa Santai.

There is a gorgeous Joglo at the upper level of the property and this works perfectly as an indoor yoga studio. Also there are some stairs that take you down deeper into the garden where you can find a beautiful wooden open hut where I practised yoga most days. It is so relaxing and the views are incredible. Meditation has never been so easy as it was at Villa Santai.

Getting Around

As soon as we arrived to Villa Santai we asked Annie and the Villa manager if they knew the best way of us renting a bike. Within ten minutes there was a bike waiting for us on the drive with two helmets and a full tank.

Renting a car or motorbike is highly recommended as the Villa is about 10 minutes outside of Ubud so it will be much cheaper then catching a taxi all of the time.

I couldn’t recommend Villa Santai highly enough to anyone travelling to Ubud. It is a taste of luxury at such a great price and I will definitely be returning when I next visit Bali. You can book through air b and b, or send me an email and I can put you in touch directly.
