Staying at Blue Karma Hotel Ubud

I heard about Blue Karma hotel on lots of online travel blogs whilst planning our trip to Bali and knew it was somewhere that would be the absolute dream to stay. So here is my experience staying at the Blue Karma Hotel in Ubud.

 The Hotel

It didn’t take us long to feel at home at the Blue Karma hotel the surroundings are absolutely stunning and you look right out to the amazing rice paddies.

We were greeted by the friendliest staff who gave us a coconut and showed us to our amazing room, making us feel so welcome.

There is such a relaxing atmosphere as soon as you arrive, allowing you to relax your mind, body and soul on the beautiful hillside between sky and earth.

The Villas

Blue Karma is set up in Beautiful villa suites all in a good distance away from the other so you get the privacy that you desire.

We stayed in the Royal Suite Room which was absolutely stunning with the most incredible views and interior design.

There is a huge bath in the bedroom/ living room that could probably fit two people in and still have enough relaxing space.

You are surrounded by beautiful greenery in this gorgeous eco lodge which just allows you to relax and feel inspired.

Food & Drink

We had breakfast in the Villa each morning and it was everything you need and more. There is a great option for food from all over the globe and even a Blue Karma special which was my favourite.

Everything is so healthy and locally sourced so you know you’re indulging on the best Bali has to offer.

We had dinner at the restaurant the evening we arrived and the food was lovely also, the decor in the restaurant is trendy and you have little lights on your menu so you can read everything better, which is a really lovely touch.

Getting Around

Getting around is really easy! There is a free shuttle bus that takes you into Ubud every hour and picks you up again.

The hotel also has taxi’s incase you miss the shuttle bus. We tried to walk home one day so we could see the sights, however we didn’t anticipate how far it was and in the heat it feels even further. However the driver who took us into town recognised us half way and gave us a lift back up, he was our saving grace of the day.

One of my favourite parts of the hotel was the yoga studio, it is a beautiful decking that is sheltered by a roof but you can still look out to the rice fields.

It is so peaceful and there is something liberating about doing yoga outside that makes your practise even more exciting. There is a teacher who comes twice a day, however I didn’t do a class here as I wanted to do my own practise but I was able to just use the studio and their mats when I wanted.

I will definitely recommend Blue Karma to anyone who travels to Bali. They also have a hotel in Seminyak which I will definitely try when I come back to Bali.
