Loss of Motivation…

Hello, I’m back.

It’s been a while.

Maybe not for you, but for me not posting for a month has felt like a lifetime.

Where did I go?

I lost motivation.

I hit writers block, and rather than finding a spark to push through…

I took a step back.

In the last month I doubted everything.

I doubted why I write.

Whether people read my blog.

If there’s even point in carrying on.

I know that I am not the only one who has ever felt this feeling, so I wanted to be honest.

When you loose motivation you question your worth.

You feel numb.

You feel yourself loosing control.

These are all normal feelings.

But the most important thing is realising these emotions.

Realising that they are only temporary, and if you change your mentality these feelings will pass.

It’s ok to lack motivation from time to time.

But if you do.

Realise just how strong you are.

Take the time to focus your mind on your strengths.

Stop giving into your weaknesses.

Do not compare yourself to others, for their strengths are different to yours.

If you are lacking motivation to carry on.

Know that this is not a reflection of your worth.

It is just a bump in the road, and one you will get over.

Do not force yourself to do things.

Be patient and the time will come.

When you feel like quitting.

Think about why you started.
