Wow! What an incredible year it has been. I can honestly say that 2019 was the best year of my life. Yes, there were a few hiccups along the way… But as the saying goes, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
At the end of 2018, I packed up my life in one suitcase and moved to Australia. Now, 14 months later I’ve acquired another suitcase and incredible memories.
2018 was a pretty terrible year for me, you can read more of that here. So I promised myself I would make this year incredible. To say I have been living my best life would be an understatement.
So, let’s take a little look down memory lane…
I started my New Year off with a huge bang with a spontaneous trip to Bali. I travelled with two awesome people I had only met a month or two before. It was one of my favourite travelling experiences, and I am so happy I shared it with these two legends. – Jodie and Marcus, I love you.
Now… Although, by the last day in Bali Jodie and I were extremely skint and spent the next couple of weeks eating pot noodles… We decided to book one of the most intense music festivals I have ever attended, Rainbow Serpent.
What an incredible and mind blowing experience. If you are travelling to Australia and want the journey of a life time. Then Rainbow is the weekend for you. It will open your mind and heart forever. Once again Jodie, thank you for always being my “yes” girl.
And whilst we’re on the topic of festivals, I guess I should mention the other events that filled my heart.
Ok, so I may have spent a lot of 2019 “Forgetting to wear clothes”, (as my father would say), stomping in the dust for hours on end… I spent every second surrounded by love, laughter and life long friends.
And on the weekends where I wasn’t dancing my days away, I did manage to fit in some travelling and sightseeing.
In April I travelled to Vietnam to see my family and also explore some places I had never been before. I met so many lovely friends, who have now joined me in Australia!
I explored places on my door step in Victoria…
And visited other hot spots in Australia such a Byron Bay, Port Douglas and Perth.
I am so grateful for the year I have had, the people I have met and the lessons I have learnt.
I can’t wait for 2020, to continue to live this life that fills my heart. To remove the toxic people and make even more space for the love I deserve.
I wish you all a year of happiness and positivity. Thank you to everyone for reading my blog this year and the support you have given me.
I am still learning, but I am forever grateful.
Please remember that our lives are so short. So appreciate every breath. Remove people that are not deserving of your time and energy. And find peace from within always.
Happy 2020 to you all.
